Selective Pallet Rack
Selective pallet rack is a standard system without any special features optimizing it, but that doesn’t make it a poor choice. Selective pallet rack is usually limited to a depth of a single pallet, which offers you access to a high number of different units.
While similar in construction, the main difference between these two types of rack is the access. With drive-in racking, pallets are loaded and retrieved from the same side. Drive-through racking allows operators to load pallets from one side and retrieve them from the other. Both of these systems are great for large volumes of like products and can help maximize your space.
Push Back Racking
Great for new warehouses that plan on utilizing forklifts as the main picking method, push back racking is a first in, last out system that uses a pair of inclined rails and nesting carts to move pallets towards the back of the rack as more pallets are loaded.
Carton Flow Racking
Perfect for facilities that plan on filling a large volume of orders, carton flow racking uses gravity to feed units to the front of a shelving unit for easier order-picking. The main advantage to this is that while items are loaded from the back of the rack, pickers have access to items at all times.
